This project is located at Emmanuel Church located in Kestopur, established in the year 1829, reconstructed and grown as a strong pastorate of Calcutta Diocese, (CNI), caters to a large population of Christians and communities of all faiths. Emmanuel Church’s Community Development works with the poor towards the empowerment of illiterate dalit women who work as domestic help.
The empowerment programme consists of:
- Certificate courses in tailoring and embroidery
- Providing employment for the women through the ‘Nari Dana’ project
